A man wanted in Jefferson County for sexual crimes against a child has been arrested in nearby Newton County near Deweyville.
Newton County Sheriif Colton Havard said that about 6:30 Tuesday morning, deputies and U.S. Marshals went to a home off County Road 4173 near Deweyville and arrested Brian David Henry.
Havard said Jefferson County had warrants for Henry on two counts of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child Under 14, 1st degree felonies that could send him to prison for life if he's convicted.
Henry, 40, was taken to the Newton County Jail where he was at last word waiting transfer to officers in Jefferson County.
