An 83-year-old man was very seriously injured when the tractor that he was driving on a highway was hit by a pickup truck. It happened shortly before 7:00 on Monday morning on U.S. Highway 287, about 8 miles west of Chester. Polk County Today is reporting that William Fisher, of Corrigan, was driving the tractor when he pulled out in front of a westbound 2017 Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by 30-year-old Destin Parker, of Dry Prong, Louisiana. Parker wasn’t injured, but Fisher was flown from the scene by medical helicopter to a hospital in Conroe.
