LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Detectives are interviewing a man accused of shooting someone in a domestic disturbance in Lufkin.
According to a release from the Lufkin Police Department, officers were called to a home in the 3200 block of Daniel McCall Drive at about 10:30 a.m.
Police said they found a man with a gunshot wound to his arm. The injured person was taken to a nearby hospital, and officers said they detained the shooter.
According to Lufkin police, no one has been charged or arrested in this case yet and it remains under investigation.
The shooter has claimed the action was self-defense, police said. Detectives are interviewing them further, in addition to gathering evidence from the scene.
