NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - The continued investigation into the disappearance of Michael Allen, 44, and Robert Saxton, 79, has led to the discovery of a body on Tuesday, police say.

Lufkin police officials say they believe the remains found are that of Allen, who has been missing since late January from Nacogdoches County.

LPD is joined by Nacogdoches police and sheriff’s offices, Angelina County Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas Rangers at the scene where the body was located, in the 5900 block of Old Tyler Road in Nacogdoches County.

Law enforcement investigators are processing the scene. Identification of the remains is pending an autopsy, which they say will take some time to complete.

Allen’s family has been notified.
