The residents of Lufkin are mourning after a High School student there that was scheduled to graduate this year was killed in an auto accident on Friday. KTRE 9 News in Lufkin is reporting that baseball player Lance Modisette died in the crash occurred on Friday afternoon near Nacogdoches as he and other baseball teammates were enjoying an outing together. According to Nacogdoches County Constable Roger Dudley, it happened on U.S. Highway 259 in the northern end of the county. Dudley said that the vehicle Modisette was in collided with another vehicle, and both crashed into a wooded area. Modisette was scheduled to graduate with his senior classmates on Friday.
