The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in Hardin County. The preliminary DPS investigation indicates that at about 1:20 a.m. Saturday, May 20, the driver of a 2019 Indian Chief motorcycle was traveling north and reportedly went down in the roadway on U.S. Highway 96 near Silsbee, skidding into the east ditch where it overturned. The driver, identified as 55-year-old Brent Bohler of Beaumont, died at the scene.
