SHREVEPORT, La. (KLTV) - The LSU-Shreveport Pilots had a field day at the plate in a three-game series against the Texas College Steers.
The Pilots outscored the Steers 94-4 in three games to complete the sweep.
In the first game of a doubleheader on Thursday, LSU-Shreveport won 37-0. The Pilots had 22 hits and Jose Sallorin led the charge with eight RBI, including a grand slam in the second inning. Ian Mountz had a triple, double and five RBI. Diego Aragon added two doubles and five RBI. In the second game, the Pilots won 15-0.
On Sunday, LSU-Shreveport broke the program record for runs scored and runs driven with a 42-4 drubbing of Texas College. The Pilots scored 16 runs in the first inning and 15 runs in the fourth inning.
LSU-Shreveport is 33-0 overall and 18-0 in conference play. The Pilots, ranked No. 1 in the nation, travel to Waxahachie to face Nelson University on Tuesday.
