Law enforcement on the city, county, and state level were busy Thursday afternoon searching for a Louisiana murder suspect who was reportedly here in Jasper. It started at about 3:30 when officers went to a home at Prospect Point Apartments at 215 Premier Drive, but reportedly discovered that the man had already fled the apartment and was on foot in the area.
Very little information was available about the man or the crime that he’s accused of committing. The only information we could gather is that he is a a black male by the name of Mike Young, and is wanted for murder in Louisiana.
Officers received word that the suspect possibly went inside the nearby WalMart, so they quickly converged on the store and searched inside while other officers were posted at all points of exit. However, they were unable to locate any sign of him there.
