LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - A Longview man is dead after police say he walked into traffic Monday evening. According to the Facebook post from Longview PD, the incident happened around 7:50 p.m. Monday in the 1500 block of Alpine Road. Johnny Ray Johnston, 62, failed to yield the right of way and walked in front of a Ford SUV, the department said. Johnston died of his injuries at a Longview hospital. No other injuries were reported.
