ECTOR COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A Longview man was killed in a traffic crash in West Texas late Saturday.
The crash happened around 11:37 p.m. at East Goldenrod Drive and North Alfalfa Drive in Ector County, just north of Odessa. According to the release from Texas DPS, the fatal crash was a head-on collision at the intersection.
The two victims of the crash were identified as Juan Jesus Vasquez, 42, of Longview, and Nicholas Matthew Gonzalez, 34, of Miles, Texas. Vasquez was driving east on Goldenrod Dr. in a Dodge Ram truck, and Gonzalez was driving west in a Chevrolet Silverado.
The drivers were both pronounced dead at the scene after the head-on crash, the report says. The incident remains under investigation.
