Livingston woman arrested after infant tests positive for meth - February 16, 2024

LIVINGSTON, Texas (KTRE) - A Livingston woman was arrested Thursday after a 1-year-old child allegedly tested positive for methamphetamine. Mary Ann Burkett, 48, was charged with endanger child w/ criminal negligence Thursday after a CPS investigation. According to a Facebook post by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a 1-year-old infant tested positive for methamphetamine at levels which show the child was exposed “on a consistent basis.” Burkett was booked into the Polk County Jail Thursday.
