Livingston police investigating body found during welfare check

LIVINGSTON, Texas (KTRE) - The Livingston Police Department has started a death investigation after the body of a man was found during a welfare check.

According to the LPD, on Tuesday officers went to a home in the 200 block of Starghill Street for a welfare check.

Once they arrived they found the body of a man, identified as Kenneth Carter, 34, lying on the floor. Carter lived at the residence.

According to the LPD, details found at the scene prompted them to begin a death investigation, which is still ongoing.
