VERNON PARISH, La. (KALB) - A Leesville man was arrested following an investigation into drug trafficking, according to the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Rickie Dewayne Bell, 41, was arrested on June 26.
The Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force found several “stash houses” or properties used for the keeping and distribution of illegal drugs, which Bell allegedly used.
Agents executed a series of search warrants at six areas in Leesville, where they found cocaine, firearms and cash. The evidence is still being processed.
“Throughout this investigation, it has become evident that Bell’s drug trafficking operation crossed into other law enforcement jurisdictions as well as other states,” said Sheriff Sam Craft.
