LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A Lake Charles man is accused of sexually abusing a young child for years.
Michael C. Landry, 61, faces four counts of felony sexual battery.
On Dec. 15, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a sexual abuse complaint at a local hospital, CPSO spokesperson Kayla Vincent said.
The victim, who is under the age of 13, told investigators that Landry had been sexually abusing her since she was young, Vincent said.
Detectives searched Landry’s home and found evidence that corroborated the victim’s statement, according to Vincent.
Landry was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Facility. Judge Lee Hoffoss set his bond at $550,000.
