LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A Lake Charles man is behind bars, accused of sexually abusing a child.
Waylon Schronk, 49, faces a count of aggravated crime against nature.
On June 17, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office began investigating the sexual abuse of a juvenile, CPSO spokesperson Kayla Vincent said.
The victim told investigators there had been ongoing abuse involving Schronk, Vincent said. Detectives also learned of concerning text messages between Schronk and the victim.
On June 18, Schronk was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Parish Jail. His bond is set at $750,000
