Judge finds Lufkin man accused of burning child in bath guilty

LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - A district judge has found a Lufkin man guilty in connection to the hot water burns of a child.

District Judge Todd Kassaw issued the ruling following closing arguments on Wednesday.

Miguel Gonzalez, 28, will now be booked into the Angelina County Jail as he awaits his sentencing.

Gonzalez was accused of intentionally burning his girlfriend’s 1-year-old daughter in the hot water of a bathtub in 2022.
