GRANT PARISH, La. (KALB) - Three people were arrested for trying to smuggle over $43,000 worth of meth into the Federal Prison in Grant Parish by using a drone, according to the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Oscar Hernandez-Hernandez, 18, of Houston, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Distribute, Resisting an Officer and Taking Contraband into a Penal Institution.
Carlos Danielle Dominguez, 17, of Houston, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Distribute, Resisting an Officer and Taking Contraband into a Penal Institution.
Jese Turrubiartes, 18, of Houston, was arrested for Taking Contraband into a Penal Institution.
GPSO said that Hernandez and Dominguez were in the country illegally and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has a detainer on them.
This makes the third, fourth and fifth arrests of suspects trying to smuggle drugs into the Federal Prison in 2026. We will continue to follow this story and provide more updates as we learn more.
