JEFFERSON, Texas - A Jefferson woman is dead and her son has been charged with murder in the case, Jefferson Police Chief Florentino Perez said. Dillon Rogers, 32, has been arrested in connection with the death of his mother Carla Rogers, 67, Perez said in a press release issued Tuesday. Jefferson police were called around 3 a.m. Tuesday to the 400 block of East Bonham Street. Perez said the department was being assisted by the Texas Rangers in the investigation and that no further details would be released.
