Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff's Department said Saturday that a woman from Jasper had been arrested after illegal drugs were found in her possession.
Officers said the arrest came on Saturday following what authorities described as a consensual encounter with a deputy on County Road 296, also known as Old Kirbyville Highway, just south of Jasper.
The suspect, Jamie Brown, 33, was taken to the Jasper County Sheriff's Department where she charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance alleged to be methamphetamine.
Bond on Brown was set at $40,000 and at last word, she remained in the Jasper County Jail.
