Jasper Police have made an arrest in a recent robbery case at a local game room.
According to Police Chief Gerald Hall, officers on Monday arrested Joshua Ray Rawls, a 37-year-old Jasper resident who is accused of robbing Sai Gadiparhl, 28, of Jasper. Police said Rawls was one of two suspects who took the victim’s money and cell phone in the November 15th crime which occurred at a game room in the 600 block of East Houston Street.
Meanwhile, Chief Hall said it’s not known yet if Rawls will also be a suspect in a Saturday armed robbery at a game room in the 2400 block of North Wheeler Street. In that case the victim, Eric Nguyen, told officers that he was robbed by an armed black male wearing a red hoodie.
Rawls has been charged with one count of Aggravated Robbery and his bond has been set at $100,000.00. As of mid-day Tuesday he remained in the Jasper County Jail.
