Jasper ISD Superintendent John Seybold said Thursday that he and other school officials have planned a reroute of school buses to deal with the closure of Highway 63 West near the Peachtree Community.
Seybold says there are two bus routes that will be affected, and for those students and parents who live beyond the closure, the only problem they may experience is a possible late pick-up in the morning or a possible late drop-off in the afternoon.
The roadway was closed on Thursday after heavy rainfall washed out a large hole underneath it. The Texas Department of Transportation says emergency repairs could take until Sunday – or later – to complete.
