Jasper County deputies deal with a mentally ill man firing a gun

Jasper County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Scotty Duncan said deputies were busy late Wednesday morning dealing with a mentally ill man who was firing a gun. It started shortly after 10:00 when deputies were sent to a home in the Roganville Community midway between Jasper and Kirbyville. There were no injuries as a result of the incident and deputies were able to resolve it peacefully.
