Sheriff Aaron Mitchell sadly reports an inmate passed away this morning, Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Sabine Parish Women's Jail.
According to Warden Berlion Sweet, shortly after 8AM, jail staff discovered Danielle Lamora Cundiff (age-44) of Many was unresponsive in her cell. Life-saving measures were immediately started and EMS was notified. Cundiff was pronounced deceased a short time later.
An autopsy has been ordered by the Sabine Parish Coroner's Office, but Cundiff's death appears to be medically related.
Sheriff Mitchell and his staff extend their condolences to Cundiff's family and friends.
