A house in Vernon Parish was destroyed by fire late Thursday night. According to the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Department, it happened shortly before 11:00 at a two-story home on Lewis Road in Rosepine. Firefighters from Rosepine, Leesville, and Sandy Hill arrived to find the second floor fully engulfed and flames coming out of the roof. Deputies said the home was in the process of being remodeled and was vacant.
