EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - Hawkins ISD and Big Sandy ISD both announced their students had died Saturday in a car wreck. “It is with a heavy heart that we share the tragic loss of a student and member of our Hawk community,” the Hawkins ISD release said. “We also stand alongside our neighbors in Big Sandy ISD as they mourn the loss of a student. This tragedy has impacted both of our communities.” Both districts have said they will have counselors available to support students and staff in the coming days.
