SHREVEPORT, La. - One man was shot at the Holiday Inn Express on Interstate Drive just before midnight on Friday. What initially was a shots fired call at the hotel, turned into what police say was an 18-year-old male being shot in the hand. The victim stated he was on the 4th floor elevator at the Holiday Inn Express when he noticed a group of males fighting and shooting at each other just outside. The victim was shot in the right arm and was transported to Willis-Knighton South and was then taken to Oschner LSU Health by police. Detectives believe that a .40 caliber and .223 rifle were involved. According to an SPD Officer on scene, there is no one in custody and the officer said he did not know if there was a suspect at this time. Investigation is currently ongoing.
