LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - The Gregg County Sheriff’s Office has shared more information on the three Corvettes stolen from Peter’s Chevrolet in Longview overnight on Saturday. According to the sheriff’s office, witnesses saw the Corvettes eastbound on I-20 and notified authorities. A pursuit began with the three Corvettes. The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office was able to use spike strips to stop one of the vehicles. It pulled over and the driver bailed out of the car and ran, and was not caught. The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office recovered a second Corvette, and Louisiana law enforcement recovered the third. Louisiana officers also recovered another stolen vehicle from within Louisiana. Gregg County has reached out to several law enforcement agencies for help on the case, and say they believe they are dealing with a theft ring. No one has been arrested at this point. Gregg County is asking if anyone has information about the thefts to contact Gregg County Crimestoppers.
