GREGG COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A measles case has been reported in East Texas.

According to Gregg County Health Authority Dr. Lewis Browne, a 19-year-old Upshur County man felt sick and went to CHRISTUS Good Shepherd in Longview on Sunday. Doctors did two different measles tests to confirm he has the disease, and they were positive.

Doctors took him into a pressurized room because they believed he was contagious. He ultimately was treated and released to return home, Browne said.
