GREGG COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - A Gregg County Sheriff’s deputy is being treated for his injuries after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon. According to Gregg County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Craig Harrington, the incident happened near FM 1252 and Bud Street close to Liberty City. The deputy was working a one-vehicle crash when he was hit by another vehicle. Harrington said the deputy was taken to a hospital by an ambulance, and his condition has not been reported. Part of FM 1252 between FM 2207 and Fritz Swanson was shut down as the scene was investigated. The road has since been reopened. No information has been released on an arrest for the driver.
