Funeral services to be held Friday for couple from Fred who died in Colorado crash

Funeral services will be held on Friday for a man and his wife from Fred, who died last week following a tragic crash in Limon, Colorado. Sergeant Troy Kessler with the Colorado State Patrol said that Jessica Wallet was driving a 2022 Toyota SUV westbound on Interstate 70, when she collided into the rear of an 18-wheeler. Kessler said the SUV was then dragged until the truck driver got the big-rig stopped. Calvin Wallet, 47, died at the scene, while Jessica, 39, died later at a hospital. Fortunately, an 8- month-old baby in a child safety seat survived with only minor injuries. Funeral services for the couple will be held at io:oo am on Friday March 3, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Warren. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Baker-Bell Cemetery in Fred. Services are under the direction of Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home of Woodville. Calvin Wallet was a native of Woodville and a graduate of Warren High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard and had worked at the Brookshire Brothers Store in Silsbee for 29 years. Jessica Wallet was a native of Alamosa, Colorado who had lived in Tyler County since their marriage. She was a homemaker and an active member of the Church of Later Day Saints.
