The Texas Department of Public Safety says five Little Cypress-Mauriceville students were injured in a Wednesday morning crash as they were headed to football practice.
Troopers say it happened on Farm to Market Road 1130 when the truck they were in, a 2018 Dodge Ram, went off the road and struck a tree.
DPS released the following information about the injured:
Driver – age 16, transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont
Passenger 1 - age 15, transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont
Passenger 2 – age 13, transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont
Passenger 3 – age 12, transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont
Passenger 4 – age 12, transported to UTMB Health in Galveston
There’s no word on the severity of their injuries.
