Burkeville and Newton firefighters reportedly had their hands full Sunday morning battling a house fire and also dealing with a man who was interfering with them. Fire Chief Charles Duckworth said it happened shortly after 8:00 at a trailer park on County Road 2096.
Duckworth said firefighters arrived to find a mobile home completely engulfed and they quickly went to work trying to put out the flames.
However, Duckworth said a man - who they have had trouble with in the past - was on scene and he cussed every firefighter and interfered with them. Duckworth said Newton County deputies had to respond to deal with the person.
The house was completely gutted by the fire. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
There's no word on what may have caused the fire.
