The volunteers of the Jasper Fire Department were dispatched to the home of Robert Rhame at 2107 Pinecrest Drive shortly before 5:00 on Monday afternoon when it was reported that what had started out as a controlled burn had got out of control and burned up a nearby storage building.
Firemen said the blaze was just too far along when it was spotted by a neighbor who advised Rhame that a fire he thought was out had rekindled.
The storage building and all in it was a complete loss. However, no injuries resulted from the incident.
