Chambers County Sheriff Brian Hawthorne says his office has arrested a father on charges of Tampering with Evidence – specifically, a human corpse – after the body of his son, Romeo Jimerson, 29, of Channelview, was found dumped on the side of Interstate 10 near Wallisville on Friday. Cobin Rocio, of Channelview, is charged with the 2nd Degree Felony of Tampering with Evidence. Additionally, the sheriff says Melvin Carraway, a Houston resident who is an acquaintance of both the victim and father, is facing the same charges. Sheriff Hawthorne expects the charges to be upgraded. Meanwhile, the cause of death has not yet been revealed, or a possible motive for dumping the man’s body on the side of an interstate highway.
