Beaumont Police are investigating after a 75-year-old man was found dead in downtown Beaumont during the noon hour on Monday.
The body was discovered outside in a grassy area at the corner of Jefferson Street at Wall Street.
The name of the man has not yet been released pending notification of next-of-kin, but Justice of the Peace Ben Collins, Sr. says he was a resident of Beaumont.
An autopsy has been ordered.
