The Texas Department of Public Safety says an early Wednesday morning crash in Tyler County left one man dead and another injured. It happened at about 7:00 on Farm to Market Road 92, just north of the Fred Community. According to DPS Sergeant Shana Clark, 62-year-old Thomas O’Kane, of Fred, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet HHR SUV and pulling out of a driveway. Clark said he drove out into the path of a 2015 Dodge pickup truck which was northbound on FM 92 and driven by Shylee Eddings, 24, of Silsbee. Clark said the Dodge truck hit the Chevrolet SUV, resulting in the death of O’Kane. Meanwhile, Eddings was transported to a Beaumont hospital for treatment.
