Driver who died following high-speed chase with Gregg County deputies identified

UPSHUR COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A high-speed chase that began near Gladewater ended with the fleeing suspect dead in Upshur County. Gregg County Chief Deputy Craig Harrington said that investigators from the Gregg County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division were investigating a domestic stalking case, and identified Mario Tywan Marton, 47, as the suspect. Investigators got an arrest warrant for Marton for burglary of a habitation with the intent to commit other felony, which is a first-degree felony.
