One person is reported to be undergoing treatment for the injuries he received in a single vehicle auto accident that occurred on Saturday evening on the northwest side of Kirbyville. Police and other emergency crews were dispatched to the location at the intersection of County Roads 404 and 406 around 8:00, when it was reported that the crash had occurred and arrived to find a 2017 Ford mustang upside down in front of a home. Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Shana Clark identified the driver as 53-year-old Gregory Hadnot, of Kirbyville. Clark said "The driver was traveling at an unsafe speed and lost control, traveling off the road to the right, where it struck a culvert and overturned." Witnesses said Hadnot was trapped in the car following the crash. However, he was rescued by residents of the neighborhood who came to his aid. After being treated at the scene, Hadnot was taken by ambulance to the Kirbyville Airport where he was transferred to a medical helicopter and flown to a hospital in Beaumont.
