Driver killed when a car hit a log truck in Polk County

Polk County Today is reporting that the driver of a car was killed when the vehicle hit a log truck. It happened early Monday afternoon on Highway 190 near the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 2007 Toyota Camry was traveling westbound when the driver crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound log truck.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. As of Tuesday the identity had not yet been released.
