LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A 6-vehicle crash on Ryan Street ended with the arrest of one person. Lake Charles Police Dept. was called to the scene around 11:40 a.m. July 7.
Police said the driver of a Gold SUV was driving north and lost control of the wheel when he was changing lanes, hitting a vehicle traveling south. Officers also said the driver appeared to be speeding.
The crash created a chain reaction and six vehicles were involved.
Two people from the same vehicle were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver on the Gold SUV was arrested and charged with reckless driving and no insurance with defective equipment.
