SHREVEPORT, La. - A Shreveport man is accused of crashing his car into a police cruiser. Police say Darlin Vazquez ran a stop sign on Youree Drive and crashed into a Shreveport police officer on East Herndon Street Saturday night. Investigators say instead of stopping to render aid, Vazquez left the scene, leaving the injured officer behind. Luckily, the officer could radio for assistance. The officer is expected to recover. Darlin Vazquez was arrested and charged with hit and run and DWI.
