An off duty state trooper has been arrested in Henderson County after the sheriff’s department there says he barged into a home and told the family that he was looking for a girl that he claimed was his niece. Investigators say 34-year-old Jacob Joseph McKeon went to the home at about 3:00am and banged on the door. When the homeowner answered the door, investigators say McKeon showed his badge and then forced his way in. According to investigators, Mckeon went into the bedroom of the parents of the homeowner and woke them up yelling “Wake up. I’m the law, and you’re going to jail.” Investigators say the homeowner’s mother told him to get out of the house, but he refused and yelled expletives at her. Henderson County deputies responded to the incident and arrested McKeon. He was charged with Official Oppression and Criminal Trespassing. He has been released from jail under a $60,000.00 bond. There’s no word on the status of his job with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
