The Texas Department of Public Safety has announced that they are ramping up patrols statewide over the long Thanksgiving weekend. DPS says state troopers will be on Texas highways keeping an eye out for drunk drivers and those driving dangerously. DPS says extra traffic enforcement will begin on Wednesday and will continue through Sunday. According to DPS, troopers will be keeping an eye out for people not wearing seat belts, driving while intoxicated, speeding, and failing to follow the Move Over-Slow Down law, among other traffic violations.
