Texas Department of Public Safety State Troopers were out in force on Wednesday conducting stepped-up traffic enforcement in both Jasper and Newton Counties. DPS Sergeant Shana Clark says it’s the department’s Memorial Day weekend program.
Here in Jasper County, troopers arrested eight people on Wednesday. Some of the arrests were for traffic or other violations and some were for warrants.
Theodore Follie, 25, of Silsbee - Charged with Driving while License Invalid, Failure to Stop and Render Aid, Failure to ID/Fugitive from Justice, and Criminal Trespassing.
Udersis JaQuince Bass, 27, of Wiergate – Charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, and two counts of No Driver’s License
Sammy Dwayne Johnson, 43, of Jasper – Charged with Driving while License Invalid
Steven Dwayne Gilbert, 62, of Jasper – Charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance
Wilbur Jamal McLemore, 36, of Jasper – Charged with Driving while License Invalid
Kenny Don Marler, 32, of Jasper – Charged with Driving while License Invalid
Nicholas Ty Barthol, 24, of Jasper – Charged with Driving while License Invalid
Earnest DeWitt, 53, of Jasper – Charged with No Driver’s License, Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Theft
