DPS determines possible suspect vehicle in Smith County hit-and-run bicyclist death

SMITH COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - DPS has released details on a possible suspect vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident on June 25 that left a bicyclist dead.

According to Sgt. Adam Albritton, the vehicle is narrowed down to a Mitsubishi Eclipse or possibly a Mitsubishi Lancer with a year model between 2009 through 2012.

The damage to the vehicle will be on the right front fender.

Enrique Gomez Torres, 50, of Tyler, was hit near the Shell Gas Station on State Highway 64 around 9:15 p.m.

Anyone with information on a vehicle fitting this description is urged to call Texas Highway Patrol in Tyler at 903-939-6000.
