Archived as originally published. Information reflects the date of this article.

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department says a man who is currently serving prison time for burglaries in Jasper County has been linked by DNA evidence with two residential burglaries that occurred in the Buna area in February of 2024.

The report said the DNA matched 40-year-old Buna resident Malcom Lynn Fuselier, Jr.

According to the report, Jasper County Judge Mark Allen has signed off on two warrants and detainers have been placed on Fuselier, meaning that he will be immediately transferred to the Jasper County Jail upon completion of his current prison sentence.

The Texas Department of Corrections website says that Fuselier’s projected release date is March 25th.
