Louisiana State Police report that a DeRidder man was killed in a crash involving a FedEx truck on Wednesday evening. Troopers say it occurred at about 5:00 on Highway 12 near Ragley.
According to troopers, the FedEx truck, driven by 21-year-old Taylor A. Maye, of Lake Charles, was trying to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone and side-swiped a Chevrolet pickup truck headed the opposite direction.
Troopers say a passenger in the Chevrolet, David J. Riley, 30, received fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
