As the death toll from Hurricane Helene exceeds 100, crews and equipment from Kelly and Company is there. Even before the storm struck the coast of Florida, Kelly and Company, an emergency response business based in Missouri with equipment and resources stationed here in Jasper was moving equipment towards the area and on Monday even more resources rolled that way. Some time ago Kelly and Company purchased the former Lions Club Rodeo Arena here in Jasper and converted it into a large storage and staging facility to serve as one of it's many such locations along the Gulf Coast in preparation of such events. The company, which is founded and still owned and operated by Steve Kelly is based in Seymour Missouri, has equipment depots not only here in Jasper, but also Norwood, Missouri, Monroe, Alabama, and Valdosta, Georgia. The company specializes in emergency operations and recovery efforts by providing housing, food, showers, laundry services and other needs for crews performing work around the clock following storms and other disasters
