Two people received what was reported to be minor injuries in a two-vehicle auto accident that occurred shortly before noon on Thursday at the intersection of Highway 96 and Bulldog Avenue in the south end of Jasper. What happened is not clear, but a witness at the scene said that a Nissan Armada SUV was northbound and crashed into the rear of a Dodge Journey which had stopped for a red light. The driver and passenger of the Nissan were both taken by ambulance Jasper Memorial Hospital. The driver of the Dodge was not injured.
