Jasper County Precinct 5 Constable Mike Poindexter is searching for clues in a mailbox smashing case that occurred late at night on Saturday, March 16th at a home in Rayburn Country. A security camera video of the crime shows a small station wagon stop on a road, a white male with a baseball bat got out of the passenger seat, he hit the mailbox once, and then he got back in and the car drove away. If you recognize the suspect or the vehicle, you’re asked to contact Constable Poindexter or the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department at 409-384-5417. You do not have to give your name.
